Spring is one of my favorite times of year for senior sessions in Omaha. The fresh greenery, warm evenings, and beautiful golden sunsets create the perfect backdrop for photos that feel timeless.
Ryleigh's senior session was the perfect example of why I love creating completely customized senior photography experiences. Rather than fitting everything into a short time slot, we had the freedom to tell her story from beginning to end.
Starting the Day in the Studio
We kicked off her session in my 8,000-square-foot Omaha photography studio, creating a variety of looks that reflected who she is.
One of my favorite things about senior photography is incorporating the people, places, and passions that matter most. Ryleigh brought her dog, her longboard, and items celebrating the college she's been accepted to and the major she'll be pursuing this fall. These aren't just props—they're part of her story.
With unlimited outfit changes and no pressure to rush, we were able to create a gallery that feels authentic, personal, and uniquely hers.
Sunset Senior Photos at Lake Manawa
To finish the evening, we headed to Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs, one of my favorite locations for spring senior pictures near Omaha.
The timing couldn't have been better. As the sun dropped lower in the sky, the lake reflected the beautiful golden light while the Omaha skyline stretched across the horizon. It's one of those locations that offers a little bit of everything—water, open skies, nature, and city views all in one place.
We also created some artistic reflection portraits with my vintage mirror that added a creative, editorial feel to her gallery while still keeping the focus on her.
