Meet Bob & Grob (AKA Rigby & Gracie) | Omaha Dog Photography

If you've ever worried your dog is "too crazy" for professional photos... let me introduce you to mine.

Around our house, they're affectionately known as Bob & Grob, although their official names are Rigby and Gracie. They're loud, goofy, stubborn, affectionate, and completely opposite personalities—and they're the perfect reminder that every dog deserves photos that celebrate exactly who they are.

As much as I photograph other people's pets, these two keep me on my toes more than any client ever has.

Rigby – The Lovable Goofball (Bob)

Rigby is our two-year-old Bulldog mix that we rescued from a local shelter when he was about three months old.

He doesn't know a stranger.

His life's mission is to cuddle every human he meets and lick them until they question their life choices.

He's endlessly happy, ridiculously affectionate, and absolutely obsessed with Gracie... although she doesn't always return the enthusiasm.

His growing list of nicknames includes:

  • Riggy
  • Rigburt
  • Raggy
  • Ragby
  • Rigburrito
  • Riggy Biggy Bear
  • Robby
  • Jealous Jan

(Yes... we have a problem.)

He's named after Rigby from Regular Show, and his personality somehow fits perfectly.

His favorite snack? Carrots.

His favorite activity? Cuddling literally anyone who will sit still. Rubbing himself on those he loves like a cat (so everyone).

Basically... he's a small friendly pony slash cat disguised as a dog.

Gracie – The Princess (Grob)

Gracie is our five-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix, and we've had her since she was just six weeks old.

She fully believes the world revolves around her.

She's playful, dramatic, occasionally grumpy (especially when bedtime interrupts her plans), incredibly cuddly, and somehow convinced that every visitor comes to the house exclusively to see her.

Her favorites include:

  • Peanut butter
  • Rope toys
  • Tennis balls (she's getting a giant one for her birthday this month!)
  • Randomly howling along to songs...
  • ...and for reasons we'll never understand, bagpipes.

She answers to Gracie Girl, Gracie Face, and Griggy—and somehow manages to be equal parts sweet and sassy.

"My Dog Won't Sit Still..."

I hear this all the time.

"My dog is too hyper."

"They won't listen."

"They'll never look at the camera."

Trust me...

I've photographed these two enough to know exactly how unpredictable dogs can be.

The secret isn't expecting perfect behavior—it's knowing how to work with their personalities.

During every session I use a collection of squeakers, whistles, funny noises, toys, treats, and sounds that usually make owners laugh almost as much as they make their dogs tilt their heads.

Sometimes we're barking.

Sometimes we're making bird noises.

Sometimes we're celebrating because your dog gave me exactly two seconds of eye contact.

Those little moments are what create photographs that actually feel like your dog.

Every Personality Deserves to Be Remembered

The goal isn't just a dog sitting perfectly still.

It's the goofy smile.

The head tilt.

The tongue hanging out.

The curious expression.

The excitement they have when they see their favorite person.

Those are the moments you'll want to remember years from now.

Whether your dog is calm, energetic, shy, stubborn, food motivated, or completely chaotic, we'll create portraits that showcase exactly what makes them special.

And yes...

My studio is always dog friendly.

I'd love to meet your best friend.
