September 26, 2026 | Countryside Venue | Valley, Nebraska
Some wedding days are filled with big, beautiful moments, while others are made unforgettable by the little things that show exactly who a couple is. Mackenzie and Tristan’s September wedding at Countryside Venue in Valley, Nebraska, was the perfect mix of heartfelt emotion, laughter, family, and a few wonderfully unexpected moments!
From tearful letters and emotional first looks to a groom who came prepared with a step stool for their first kiss, this was a day full of memories that made everyone smile.
Letters, First Looks & All the Feelings
One of the most meaningful parts of Mackenzie and Tristan’s wedding day was how much thought they put into the people they love. Mackenzie took time to write letters to her family, including special notes to her parents and grandmother. These personal touches made the day even more emotional and reminded everyone that a wedding is about more than two people getting married—it’s about the families and relationships that helped shape them.
Both Mackenzie and Tristan also shared first looks with their parents. There were plenty of happy tears and heartfelt moments throughout the day, and these quiet pauses gave them time to soak it all in before the celebration continued.
A Step Stool for the First Kiss!
Of course, not every unforgettable wedding moment comes with tears. Some come with a whole lot of laughter!
Before their first kiss, Tristan surprised Mackenzie by pulling out a step stool for her to stand on. Since she’s so petite, he apparently decided he had the perfect solution ready to go! Mackenzie burst out laughing, and everyone around them found the moment just as hilarious.
It was such a fun, personal moment that perfectly captured their personalities. These are the kinds of memories I love documenting—the ones that happen naturally and become stories you’ll be telling for years.
Grilled Cheese, Breakfast for Dinner & Happy Bellies
The personal touches continued throughout the day, including one especially thoughtful moment for their nephew, who also served as the ring bearer. Knowing grilled cheese sandwiches are pretty much the only thing he’ll eat, the groomsmen fired up the grill on the back of their truck and made him grilled cheese sandwiches. It was such a sweet way to make sure he was taken care of and included in the day.
And then there was dinner!
Mackenzie and Tristan treated their guests to breakfast for dinner, and honestly, it sounded incredible. The menu included stuffed French toast, quiche, country-fried steak, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and bacon. If you ask me, breakfast food is a pretty fantastic way to celebrate a wedding! It was a fun, memorable meal that fit right in with the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere of the day.
Sunset Photos & A Celebration to Remember
After dinner, we snuck away for a few sunset photos. I love taking a little time during the reception for couples to step away from the excitement, enjoy a quiet moment together, and create a few portraits with that beautiful evening light.
Then it was time to head back and get the party started!
Mackenzie and Tristan’s wedding was filled with so many emotions, from the meaningful letters and parent first looks to the laughter surrounding their step-stool first kiss. Every part of the day reflected the people they are and the relationships that mean the most to them.
Congratulations, Mackenzie and Tristan! Thank you for allowing me to capture such a special day. I hope these photographs bring you right back to every happy tear, every laugh, and every little moment that made September 26, 2026, uniquely yours.
